AUTOMATIC SLIDING GATE MOTOR
What to consider before automating your sliding gate
Make sure that you choose the right anchor point when installing your motor as this will ensure stability over time.
Normally, the motor will be positioned below the rollers that hold up the sliding gate. This ensures better performance and correct usage over time.
It is also necessary to check the gate where the sliding gate motor is to be installed. A distance of 9 to 15 centimeters from the ground to the bottom of the rack tooth is required in order for the motor pinion to fit properly. The distance to be left will depend on the motor model used.
ERREKA recommends choosing a motor with a greater maximum drag weight than the weight of the gate. This will ensure the motor has plenty of power to move the gate, meaning less wear than if it is at the very limit.
Motors for residential sliding gates
Motors for sliding gates are used almost exclusively in exterior entrances in the residential sector. They are ideal for this role, as they are very safe and also offer a very fast opening, making them very convenient.
Our motors stand out for their safety, in addition to offering other features such as precision and speed.

AUTOMATIC SWING GATE MOTOR
How to choose motors for swing gates
The motor should be chosen according to the width of the gate, since, although the weight is supported on the hinges, the surface can be much larger and the force of the wind forces the motor to exert much more pressure, both in closing and opening.
The dimensions to be respected for each swing gate will be indicated in each automatic opener model. These dimensions should be used to install the motor’s rear anchor in terms of the side and the centre of the hinge, which vary depending on the space in the opening range.
As for the front anchor, it is only necessary to take into account the path the gate will take when closing, maintaining a slightly larger space to ensure a perfect system.
Motors for residential swing gates
Swing gate motors are one of the most widely used solutions in the residential sector thanks to the small space required for installation. In this regard, two-leaf gates are particularly worthy of note, since they require the least space for installation.
